Writing Scripture in the New Year-January Scripture Writing Plan
One way God has been at work in my life in 2017 is how He has allowed these Scripture Writing Plans to impact and encourage so many of you. Never did I think at the beginning of the year that these would be so popular.
In fact, I asked my newsletter subscribers (Not a subscriber? Just put in your name and email in the red box to the right or bottom of this post to get signed up.) if they wanted me to continue putting these out in 2018, and the answer was a resounding yes!
As much as I have loved creating these plans, they do take a lot of time. I have to pick topics, research verses, decide which verses to use, create the plan, and then write a post about it. It usually takes 2-3 hours just to get the plans ready.
So, for 2018 I’m giving myself some grace and am using the same plans as last year. If you completed all the plans this year, don’t worry. I will change up some of the verses and possibly change which theme gets released each month. It will be a little different.
However, I don’t feel guilty about keeping them mostly the same. I believe you can learn something new each time you read familiar passages.
If you want to approach the plans in a different way in 2018, give one of these ideas a try:
1. Write out the Scriptures in a different translation of the Bible.
2. Journal your thoughts about the Scriptures.
3. Pray and ask God to give you fresh eyes to learn something new.
I am praying for each of you who downloads the plans that God would encourage you through His Word and will reward you for being faithful in writing out the verses.
Visit the Scripture Writing Plan page to download the current month’s plan. You will also have the opportunity to access the Scripture Writing Plan Archives to download plans with other topics.
Are you still doing this and if so, do you have January 2021 ready?
Hi, Jean! Yes, I will be doing this for 2021. I’m working on January’s this week and hope to have it available over the weekend. If you subscribe to my newsletter, you’ll get a notification when it is available. If you’re not a subscriber, you can fill out one of the red boxes on my website to sign up.
