Living With Integrity-June Scripture Writing Plan

Dictionary.com defines integrity as “adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.”

As believers, God calls us to live with integrity. There are examples throughout the Bible that point to how we should live. The common thread is that our actions should be carried out with honesty.

A couple of years ago, I realized that living with integrity also means doing what you say you are going to do. After all, if you tell someone you’re going to do something for them, then you don’t follow through, then you basically lied to them. Yikes!

I’ve done this myself, and while I never meant to not follow through or lie to the person, the reality is that’s what happened due to my inaction.

I’ve also discovered that living with integrity means being honest with yourself. I keep saying I want to lose weight and get healthy. But if I’m not following through with actions that will help me become healthier, I’m lying to myself.

I think you would agree that we need more people who live with integrity in our world. Why don’t we lead the way and do our best to live lives of integrity that draw others to Christ rather than repel them?

This month’s Scripture Writing Plan will help us learn how to live with integrity. I was surprised to see how many times I found the word integrity in the Bible. I know you will be blessed by the instruction these verses give.
