It’s so easy to get caught up in the rush and hustle of life. However, there are times when we are forced to wait. No matter how we try to avoid them, waiting times are just a part of life.

It seems like I’m always waiting on something. Whether it’s something small like the laundry  to finish in the dryer or something with bigger implications such as waiting for God to answer a prayer, I’m often forced to wait.

Waiting can be a good thing. It can help us to slow down and escape the hurry life brings.

Waiting can be hard, though. Especially if you are waiting on an answer or event that could possibly change your life.

In times of waiting, I try to recall God’s Word and use it to bring me comfort and patience while I wait.

Here are 7 bible verses that help me when I am waiting:

1. Psalm 62:1

For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation.

2. Psalm 103:5

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.

3. Micah 7:7

But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.

4. Psalm 27:14

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

5. Lamentations 3:25

The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.

6. Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

7. Matthew 6:34

Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
