Pride: A Matter of the Heart-January Scripture Writing Plan

Can you believe we are starting a new decade? I certainly can’t!

As I look back on my life and the choices I’ve made over the last few years, I have realized that I struggle with pride. Oh, I struggle with other things, too. However, I feel like my issues with pride have led to other struggles that could have been avoided.

Pride has kept me from accepting help when I needed it. Pride has also hindered my efforts in cultivating friendships and deepening my relationships with those who are close to me.

I know I need to work on transforming my heart so that I can deal with this issue of pride. The best way I know how to do this is to get into the Word more regularly and take to heart what I read and learn.

So I invite you to join me in writing out scriptures this month that will show us what it means to be prideful, how God views pride, and how we can overcome prideful tendencies.
