162: How to Find Your Calling From God

Hey, friend! We’ve talked about living out our calling on the podcast in the last couple of months. But you may be wondering what your calling is. You’d love to be able to live it out, but you have no idea what you should be doing.

Well, wonder no more. Today in episode 162, I’m going to share ways we can uncover our calling so we can live it out.

As Christians, we all have a shared calling to glorify God in all we do. So that means, no matter what we are doing, we should do it in such a way that brings God honor and glory.

That applies to whether you work full-time or part-time, are a stay-at-home mom, empty nester, or volunteer. No matter what we do, it should bring honor and glory to God.

So that being said, I feel there are times in our lives when our callings are the specific roles we have. Our interactions with others as we carry out those roles should bring God glory and honor. That is our calling.

But I also feel that there are times when God gives us more specific callings for a season. For example, I’ve shared that I’m an empty nester and a caregiver for my mom. The caregiving calling probably won’t last the rest of my life. It’s just for a season.

I also am called to help women through what I do with The Planning Woman platform. And that will most likely be a season. Or at least one that may change over time.

Listen to the episode to hear five steps to take when trying to figure out God’s calling in your life.
