114: Putting the Past in the Proper Perspective-Goal Setting Series #1

It’s that time of year when we start looking ahead to the new year and begin making plans. If you are like me, you are already thinking about what goals you may want to achieve in 2022.

Or perhaps you’ve tried to set goals in the past only to find yourself coming up short. You’ve been discouraged by your lack of progress in life. I know I have felt frustrated at times. And I’ve even thought that perhaps goal setting was not for me.

Maybe your lack of achievements when it comes to goals results from an overcomplicated goals-setting process. Or it could be that you overestimated what you could achieve in a year. Or you may have experienced unexpected situations in your life that caused the goals you set to be irrelevant or unrealistic at that time. Hello, do you remember 2020?

Whatever the reason for not achieving your goals in the past, you can still find success with setting and achieving goals. Do not think that you are the exception to the rule and that goal setting is not for you.

In today’s episode, I am introducing you to the Live It Out Goal Setting Method. It is a four-step method that will help you set realistic and achievable goals.

I’ll share what the method is all about and then teach you the first step to begin to implement the method. Then I’ll share the other steps in the next three episodes.

In This Episode, We Cover:

  • Why it’s important to assess the past so we can be successful in the future.
  • The Live It Out Goal Setting Method and how it can help you set realistic and meaningful goals.
  • Why we should have purpose and intention behind our goals.
  • Seven questions to ask when reviewing the year.
