101: 7 Ways to Fit Time With God Into Your Life

One of the best ways I’ve found to help women through The Planning Woman platform is to survey my newsletter subscribers and followers on social media to learn in what areas of their lives they may be having struggles.
A few months ago, in The Planning Woman Community Facebook group, I put out an informal survey to see what struggles the members of the group were having. Some of the top responses related to getting their homes and paper organized. However, one of the most popular responses was trying to fit more time with God into their day.
And, quite frankly, I wasn’t surprised at all that this was one of their top struggles. I hear a lot from women that they wish they had more time to spend with God. Or when they do have time, they’re not really sure how to best use it.
In last week’s episode, episode 100, we talked about laying a foundation for knowing our priorities and making a plan for living them out.
Today I want us to add to that foundation by learning ways that we can fit time with God into our lives. And I’m not just talking about getting up earlier or spending huge chunks of time. I’m talking about being in tune with God throughout the day. This way, if you’re in a season of life where getting up earlier is not an option or your morning routine time is so short that you can’t fit large amounts of time with God in it, you can still grow closer to Him by being in tune with Him throughout the day.
Are you with me? When you get discouraged and feel like you’re not growing in your relationship with God, then remember the words of Elizabeth George, “Something is better than nothing. Always aim for more.”
In other words, do what you can today but always look for ways you can grow more.
